Shane by Jo Raven ( Review By Lynne)

Shane (Damage Control, #4)Shane by Jo Raven

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shane and Seth are cousins. Best friends and, according to their police records, partners in crime. So when Seth’s life takes a turn for the better, Shane is only too happy for him. But how can his take a turn for the worse? He didn’t even know it was possible for him to go lower than rock bottom, but each day found him lower again.
One thing gets him through. Blonde hair and long legs wrapped in a minidress. He knows he’ll never be enough for Cassie. Hell, he’s barely enough for himself. But a man can dream.
Cassie made a mistake. 9 months ago she made the biggest mistake of her life to date, and it looks like she can never come back from it.
But when Shane needs her, she’ll be there for him. After all, her biggest mistake came about from how much she wanted him.
I love, love, LOVED this book. Not a traditional romance, this book centres on the beasts within our souls and the everyday battles to just be “normal” physical and emotional, like Seth’s, or moral and social, like Cassie’s.
And the story takes so many twists and turns, you’ll find yourself wondering whether you’d have quite the same reactions in the circumstances – and would that make you more or less sane?
